About Foster City TV
Foster City TV has been cablecasting in Foster City for over 30 years, and streaming live on the web for two years (although we've had a home on the internet for 10 years). Foster City TV is your link to what's going on in your town, airing live City Council, Planning Commission, and Parks & Rec meetings; producing weekly news spots; highlights and interviews from recent events; insightful talk shows with local people; and more...
Since the year 2000, FCTV has produced a variety of award winning shows from “The General Plan Update”, and “Inside the Force”, to “The Employee Art Exhibit”.
Staple editions like “Foster City News”, “City Snapshots”, and “City Council Recap” have all been at the core of the programming bill of fare.
With two seasons complete, and a third in pre-production, “FC Café”, serves-up the City’s first interview talk-show; plus, “Inside Your City”—an in-depth encounter with different City operations, and the people who make this community work, is slated to premiere by the end of 2009.
Symposiums, Forums and LIVE Election Night Coverage, also demonstrate other significant offerings to round out the station’s menu. During eleciton years, Foster City TV has collaborated with Peninsula Television to present Local, Regional, State, and National Election Coverage. For the General Municipal Elections, Foster City TV consistently produces educational programs to draw attention to local candidates. Shows like "Meet the Candidates" and a special "League of Women Voter's Forum" educate the voters on who's campaigning for their vote.
